Job description
This is a hybrid role with a Southampton office base and travel as needed for client workshops and Acumatica events. You will work closely with the Sales, Delivery and ISV partner teams, leading discovery sessions, shaping commercial proposals, and acting as the senior technical authority on Acumatica 2026 R1 and the Acumatica xRP platform., Lead pre-sales discovery, scoping and demonstrations for prospective Acumatica clients across distribution, manufacturing and construction. Design end-to-end solution architectures spanning core Acumatica modules, ISV add-ons (Velixo, Sweet, JAAS, etc.) and integrations with finance, EDI, e-commerce and BI tooling. Translate commercial requirements into clear functional and technical scope, statements of work and accurate effort estimates. Run executive-level workshops and tailored demos, collaborating with Sales and Marketing on RFP/RFI responses. Mentor implementation consultants and developers on Acumatica best practice, framework choices, and the xRP customisation model. Act as the technical escalation point during early implementation phases until the delivery architect takes over. Stay current with Acumatica releases (currently 2026 R1) and the broader UK Acumatica ISV ecosystem.
Requirements
5+ years' experience in an Acumatica or comparable mid-market cloud ERP role (NetSuite, Business Central, SAP B1), with at least two years in a Solution Architect or senior pre-sales capacity. Deep functional understanding across Finance, Distribution and ideally Manufacturing or Construction editions of Acumatica. Hands-on familiarity with Acumatica xRP framework, generic inquiries, business events, and integration patterns (REST/OData, contract-based APIs). Confident running C-suite demos and shaping commercial proposals - strong written English for SoW authoring is essential. Acumatica certifications (Solution Architect / Application Developer) strongly preferred. UK-based with right to work; willing to travel within the UK and occasionally to Acumatica Summit. Bonus: experience in a Gold/MVP partner environment, exposure to AI-driven automation features in Acumatica 2026 R1, pre-sales experience with adjacent platforms.
Benefits & conditions
Salary £75,000 to £95,000 depending on experience, plus discretionary bonus tied to pre-sales conversion.
