Job description
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Sensing Applications Engineer role within Gencoa Ltd. Based at our offices in Speke, Liverpool, this is a full time, permanent position, reporting into the Technical Director.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall product and application support of sensing products within the Company's portfolio.
Main responsibilities
- On and offsite customer support activities such as training and troubleshooting.
- Primary technical point of contact within Gencoa for the sensing product portfolio.
- Experimental testing and development of new sensing products.
- Perform experimental performance characterisation, data collection and analysis.
- Responsible for industry trials and implementation of product demos.
- Responsible for developing new applications for Gencoa's sensor products.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with the required standard to ensure conformance to the engineering specification and for promoting a product safety culture in the organisation.
- Assistance in general R&D and Company activities.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * A-Level in Maths or Physics essential.
- Batchelor's or Masters degree in Electronic/Mechanical Engineering or Physics desirable.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in an Engineering or Physics related role essential.
- A minimum of 1 years' experience in automation essential.
- Experience in a Vacuum engineering industry desirable.
- Experience of working in a customer facing role desirable.
Skills & Aptitude Required:

- High level IT systems proficiency.

- High level of attention to detail.
- Problem solving.
- Solution driven.
- Report writing skills.
- Valid UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel internationally.
Desirable:
- Background in hard sciences- Physics or Maths.
- A technical or scientific knowledge of plasma diagnostics.
