Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior IT Technician / Project Engineer to join our technical team and play a key role in delivering projects, supporting complex environments, and mentoring junior engineers., We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Senior IT Technician / Project Engineer who can take ownership of more complex support issues while also assisting with the delivery of IT infrastructure projects for our clients.
You will be responsible for implementing and supporting a variety of technologies including Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, and on-premise infrastructure. The role will involve working closely within the service desk team, assisting with escalations, and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills who enjoys working in a varied MSP environment and wants to develop further into project delivery and senior engineering responsibilities., * Assist with the delivery of IT infrastructure projects including cloud migrations, server deployments and network upgrades.
- Provide 3rd line technical support for complex issues escalated from the service desk.
- Implement Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions for clients.
- Support hybrid and cloud environments including Azure Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Install, configure and maintain servers, networking equipment and virtual environments.
- Assist with security improvements including backup solutions, endpoint protection and best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex issues across infrastructure, networking and cloud platforms.
- Work closely with the service desk team to provide technical guidance and mentoring.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, network diagrams and technical records.
- Ensure work is delivered in line with client requirements, SLAs and internal standards.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driving License license?, Do you have experience in TCP/IP?, * Wealth of experience in IT support an infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience supporting Azure or Azure Active Directory environments.
- Good knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory.
- Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs and switching fundamentals.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Experience assisting with cloud migrations or infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of backup solutions, disaster recovery and cybersecurity best practices.
- Experience with RMM, PSA or ITSM systems within an MSP environment., * Strong technical mindset and willingness to take ownership of problems.
- Organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Calm and methodical under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
- Proactive approach with a desire to continually improve systems and processes.
