Job description
Online Framing Supplies Ltd is seeking to recruit a skilled and experienced Web Design Professional to design, upgrade, maintain and improve the company's website and e-commerce platform.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating modern, professional and responsive web layouts that reflect the company's brand, improve user experience and support increased engagement with business, B2B and corporate customers.
This is a genuine full-time role within the business. The postholder will report directly to the Director and will work closely with management and technical teams to translate business objectives into effective web design and e-commerce solutions.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing modern, professional and responsive web layouts that reflect the company's brand and appeal to business clients.
- Upgrading and improving the company's e-commerce website.
- Developing, updating and maintaining web pages using appropriate web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related frameworks.
- Improving user experience and user interface design to support clear navigation, lead generation and customer engagement.
- Creating wireframes, prototypes and design mock-ups to plan and communicate website enhancements and new features.
- Optimising website performance, accessibility and cross-browser compatibility to ensure consistent functionality across devices and platforms.
- Maintaining and updating website content and visual elements to ensure accuracy, relevance and professional presentation.
- Working closely with management and technical teams to understand business objectives and translate them into effective web design solutions.
- Implementing design and layout improvements aimed at increasing website traffic, user engagement and enquiries from B2B and corporate customers.
- Applying search-engine-friendly design principles and supporting on-site optimisation to improve website visibility and traffic.
- Monitoring website performance and user behaviour using analytics tools and recommending design-led improvements.
- Ensuring compliance with web standards, usability guidelines and accessibility best practices.
- Documenting design standards, processes and website updates to support ongoing maintenance and future development.
- Integrating payment gateways, stock control systems and order management functions into the e-commerce platform.
- Providing ongoing technical and design support for the company website, ensuring stability, cybersecurity and scalability.
Pay: £40,000.00-£44,000.00 per year
