Job description
As a Data Engineer III, you will design, build, and support data products that empower Finance and other business teams to leverage high-quality, trusted data. You'll work with structured and semi-structured data from a variety of internal and external sources, enabling analytics, reporting, and operational insights.
What You'll Do
- Partner with data architects, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Build scalable, reliable data pipelines with strong security, performance, quality, and governance standards.
- Deliver solutions aligned with modern cloud-based architectures and target-state designs.
- Create and maintain technical design documentation and data engineering artifacts.
- Promote agile methodologies and a culture of continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to data engineering best practices and standards.
- Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and attention to detail in all deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Analytics, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, design, development, and delivery.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, cloud data warehouse technologies, and data management tools.
- Strong understanding of data engineering best practices and integration patterns.
- 2+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex data challenges., * Experience leading DataOps/DevOps functions including release, deployment, operations, and monitoring of data products.
- 1+ years of experience with Snowflake, dbt, and Matillion.
- Experience driving automation, optimization, and innovation in data management or batch processing environments.
- Financial services industry experience.
- Ability to establish effective processes and frameworks within your area of ownership.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience delivering Finance-focused data engineering solutions.
- Familiarity with Control-M or similar orchestration tools.
