Job description
As the Senior IT Manager, you will be the architectural and operational lead for our entire IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for the health, security, and performance of our multi-cloud deployments (AWS, DigitalOcean) and our physical colocation footprint at the Switch Datacenter in Las Vegas., * Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Architect, deploy, and maintain robust infrastructure across AWS, DigitalOcean, and bare-metal servers hosted at the Switch Datacenter.
- Container Orchestration & Linux Administration: Expertly manage, scale, and secure our core Ubuntu Linux environments and Docker container infrastructure.
- CI/CD & Automation: Support our engineering team by maintaining and optimizing deployment pipelines using GitHub Actions and Jenkins. Utilize Ansible for configuration management and infrastructure automation.
- Systems Administration: Provide management, patching, and optimization for both our Linux backbone and auxiliary Windows Server environments.
- Network & Security Operations: Design, configure, and maintain enterprise networking components, including advanced routing, switching, site-to-site VPNs, and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW).
- Database Administration: Manage and optimize database clusters, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL, ensuring high performance, replication, and data integrity.
- Business Continuity: Design, test, and implement comprehensive Backup and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategies to guarantee zero data loss and high availability.
- IT Leadership: Lead technology strategy, manage IT budgets, negotiate with vendors (ISPs, hardware, SaaS), and mentor IT staff.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, This is a dynamic role requiring a blend of deep technical expertise and strategic leadership. Because our core stack heavily utilizes Ubuntu Server and Docker, you will need to be highly proficient in Linux system administration and containerization. Furthermore, you will manage our Windows Server environments, complex databases, enterprise networking, and support our development pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions., * Experience: 7+ years of progressive IT infrastructure experience, with at least 3+ years in an IT Management or Senior Systems Engineering role.
- Linux & Containerization: Deep, hands-on expertise with Ubuntu Server administration and Docker (container management, networking, storage).
- Automation & CI/CD: Hands-on experience with configuration management using Ansible, and familiarity supporting CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Cloud Platforms: Proven experience managing and scaling AWS (EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM) and DigitalOcean environments.
- Datacenter Operations: Experience managing on-premise hardware, racking, stacking, and colocation vendor relationships (Switch Datacenter experience is a major plus).
- OS & Databases: Strong administration skills for Windows Server environments, paired with a deep understanding of SQL Server and MySQL.
- Networking: Strong command of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall administration.
Preferred & Suggested Skills:
- Scripting: Proficiency in Bash, Python, or PowerShell to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks.
- Security & Compliance: Experience implementing Zero Trust architecture and adhering to industry compliance frameworks.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
