Job description
The State of Ohio is seeking a Technical Specialist 4 (TS4) to provide technical leadership in data architecture, analytics platforms, and enterprise data integration. This role involves designing scalable data solutions, contributing to enterprise data strategy, and guiding best practices in data modeling, integration, and governance. Key Responsibilities Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models Define and enforce data modeling standards, naming conventions, and design patterns Contribute to the enterprise data architecture roadmap Provide architectural guidance for scalable, reusable, and interoperable data solutions Lead technical discussions on design, implementation, and optimization of data systems Support integration between agency systems and enterprise data lake and analytics platforms Perform data integration, cleansing, classification, and transformation activities Collaborate with DBAs, Data Engineers, and BI teams Evaluate solution designs and provide recommendations for architecture improvements Ensure alignment with enterprise standards and governance practices
Requirements
5+ years of experience in: Data integration, data modeling, and data architecture Salesforce platform (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, validation rules) Microsoft environments (Azure, Dynamics) Snowflake data platform Tableau analytics integration Strong experience designing enterprise data solutions and scalable architectures Experience with data quality, governance, and data classification Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with: StreamSets data integration pipelines AWS S3 storage environments Microsoft SQL Server systems Experience working in enterprise data platforms and analytics environments Experience in public sector or government environments Primary Skills Salesforce, Azure, Dynamics, Snowflake, Tableau, Data Modeling, Data Integration
