Job description

Be part of the engineering team, focused on testing software and frameworks used to develop Apple's next generation human interface devices!, Testing is focused on macOS and iOS frameworks that drive unique UI experiences. Interface with low-level software and provide data to processing pipelines. An ideal candidate is a motivated individual who independently follows up on bugs, collaborates with developers to resolve issues and can understand and discuss technical problems with other QE engineers, development partners and program managers.

Requirements

BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience

Experience programming in Python and one other object-oriented programming language (Objective C, Swift, Java)

Experience in testing & debugging UI frameworks

Skilled in bug hunting and identifying regressions

Familiarity with continuous integration and scheduling systems

Familiarity with cloud services and data processing

Preferred Qualifications

MS or PhD in SW/CS/EE or related degrees

Knowledge of Mac systems and MacOS/iOS or UNIX variant

Track record of shipping great consumer products

Previous experience with software measurement tools to analyze performance and memory usage

Ability to thrive in uncertain, rapid project schedules, being able to quickly shift priorities and maximize testing time

Strives to innovate and try new things, incorporating continuous improvement of testing methods

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
