The Engineering Productivity & Performance Metric Lead will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement in engineering performance. This role serves as the authoritative voice for engineering metrics across Raytheon, delivering accurate productivity data to corporate leadership while partnering with engineering disciplines and programs to streamline processes, reduce risk and enable data-driven decision-making. By fostering a culture of transparency and operational excellence, you will help maximize engineering efficiency, support strategic priorities, and accelerate innovation in a mission-critical environment.
What You Will Do
- This position is expected to have a significant impact on the Raytheon Engineering Organization through the following contributions:
Productivity Metrics:

Provide timely and accurate Raytheon engineering productivity metrics to corporate stakeholders, with continuous evaluation and refinement of collection, calculation, and reporting methods for maximum reliability and actionability.

Build a strong culture of metrics ownership; promote standardized practices that support consistent, evidence-based decision-making aligned with strategic goals.
Engineering Performance Metric Assessment:
- Own the collection, validation, analysis, and trending of functional engineering performance metrics; identify areas requiring intervention and drive cross-discipline alignment.
Operational Efficiency:
- Streamline metrics processes, eliminate redundancy and strengthen collaboration between engineering, programs and other functions to ensure the right data is captured on the right programs.
Risk Mitigation:
- Proactively identify and address risks related to metrics accuracy, compliance and program performance to minimize disruptions.
Innovation Enablement:
- Facilitates the integration of new ideas, best practices, and technologies through cross-functional dialogue and alignment.
Communication and Transparency:
- Promote open communication and ensure decisions are well-documented, shared and understood across the organization., Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
Requirements

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Experience in functional engineering, program management or metric-driven environments.

Experience in metric collection, analysis and review.

Experience demonstrating success in influencing change in engineering organizations with a focus on productivity, efficiency and innovation.

Experience driving cross-functional transformation and improving process maturity.

Experience with engineering and programming tools, data platforms & frameworks.
-
Ability to obtain U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required after start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer

Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Experience managing large teams in a technical capacity.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Proven ability as an engineering leader to influence change across hardware, software, and systems organizations.

Program Management certification or experience.

Excellent presentation and proposal skills.

Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities.
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
