Job description

A client of Insight Global is seeking a Lvl 5 Cloud Platform Administrator to support the design, build, and operation of shared cloud platform services in Microsoft Azure. This is a first shift, onsite position based in Berkeley, Missouri; Seattle, Washington; or Daytona Beach, Florida. This role requires an active U.S. Secret Clearance (active within the past 24 months) and the ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP).

This individual will focus on building and maintaining platform capabilities that enable teams to deploy, run, and manage containerized and cloud-hosted applications in a consistent and scalable way. The role is centered on platform reliability, repeatability, automation, and service enablement rather than custom application development.

This position will work across container orchestration, Kubernetes platform services, deployment automation, and operational support to define and implement standardized platform solutions that support enterprise applications and software toolchains.

Requirements

  • Active U.S. Secret Clearance (active within the past 24 months)
  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
  • 14+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree OR 18+ years of experience if not bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering and/or platform-focused roles
  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud, containerization, and automation tooling - Experience supporting Kubernetes platforms such as AKS, OpenShift, or Tanzu
  • Experience managing Helm charts, operators, and container image lifecycle
  • Experience integrating persistent storage and backup/recovery solutions
  • Experience building reusable platform standards for multiple teams
  • Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Azure Administrator, or Azure Solutions Architect
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
