Job description
Under the direction of the Director of Information Systems, the Senior Data Integration Developer is responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of administrative and academic information systems. Acts as technology leader on integration and implementation projects to most effectively achieve the District's Information Technology (IT) goals and objectives. Work is generally diversified requiring judgment, analytical skills, and decision-making abilities according to established practices and procedures. Daily activities are completed independently or as part of a project team employing established policies and general objectives; interaction with supervisor is normally limited to problems or unusual conditions., + Responsible for leadership covering any or all phases of systems analysis and requirements definition, design, testing and implementation of projects supporting information systems as assigned.
- Manages data analysis and data integration of disparate systems across the college, and ensures that solutions align with college technology stack and strategy.
- Lead efforts to implement extensible data acquisition and integration solutions to meet the functional and non-functional requirements of the business.
- May mentor more junior staff and provide guidance and direction on work assignments
- Design and implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
- Optimize data integration platform to provide optimal performance under increasing data volumes.
- Provide problem-solving expertise and complex analysis of data to develop business intelligence integration designs.
- Confers with functional leaders and process stakeholders to understand high-level business objectives and workflows, and collaboratively develops supporting data and reporting solutions
- Work with Business Analysts and Functional Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
- Ensure high quality and optimum performance of data integration systems in order to meet business solutions.
- Provides on-going support for existing assigned administrative or academic application systems; investigates and resolves problems involving these systems, addresses data integrity concerns, provides integration of business rules with information systems.
- Confers with other division staff. Confers with supervisor regarding problems or unusual events; keeps supervisor informed of the status of assigned projects and activities.
- Participates in in-service training, workshops, and other educational activities as required or assigned.
- Performs related duties as required or assigned.
Requirements
Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures. Required Education: Bachelors' Degree in Information Technology or related field
Required Experience: 5+ years of experience performing data integration, development and reporting functions. Must have a minimum 2 years of experience in supporting and maintaining information systems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Extensive SQL database implementation, configuration and administration skills Demonstrated track record of leading design, development, implementation and support of information systems and reporting capabilities (.NET Framework, Visual Studio, SSRS) Expert understanding of how systems integrate, and how to move data between systems. Ability to manage multiple deadlines, priorities, and tasks Ability to establish and main effective working relationships with the MATC community and general public. Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position. Supervisory skills Customer services skills Organizational skills Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to work in teams. Collaboration is essential to the outcome of all areas.
Benefits & conditions
This position is a 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per work week. Hours are Monday through Friday. Position is eligible for hybrid/flexible work. All work hours must be conducted in the state of Wisconsin. Performing work outside the state is strictly prohibited., Salary is listed to the midpoint of the salary range and is based on the 2025/2026 rates and are determined by years of experience credit and internal salary equity.
