Job description
- Lead wired and wireless network projects from design through deployment
- Design, deploy, and support enterprise LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi networks
- Research and implement new networking technologies and improvements
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on major upgrades and outages
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues
- Maintain accurate network documentation and configurations
- Provide senior-level technical guidance and on-call support as required
Requirements
We are actively recruiting a Senior Network Engineer for our client in Knoxville, Tennessee. This is a full-time opportunity that will require an on-campus presence and work in Knoxville. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level networking professional to lead enterprise wired and wireless network initiatives and influence network architecture in a complex production environment. Must have strong experience with LAN/WAN networking, routing protocols (including BGP), and enterprise network infrastructure. - 6+ years of experience in network administration or network engineering
- Strong knowledge of WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, Layer 2/3, DNS/DHCP, Wi-Fi, and firewalls
- Advanced understanding of VPN technologies and encryption
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, wireless infrastructure, and security devices
- Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical users, * Bachelor s degree
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PMP, AZ-900, AZ-700, CWNA, or similar
- Experience with large-scale campus networks, hybrid cloud, EVPN/VXLAN, or higher education environments
