Software Systems Engineer

In this role, you will serve as a bridge engineer connecting the software development team in Japan with the North American manufacturing facility, and will be responsible for software operations, bug fixes, and release management for mass-produced products. This position does not focus on programming; rather, it requires strong coordination, management, and communication skills., This position serves as a bridge engineer between the software development team in Japan and manufacturing plants in North America. The role focuses on software operation support, issue coordination, release management, and communication rather than hands-on programming. Candidates are expected to manage cross-functional communication, coordinate issue resolution, and support software deployment for mass production products., ・Collect and organize software-related issues and production concerns from manufacturing plants ・Coordinate with software engineering teams in Japan for issue analysis and troubleshooting ・Understand and communicate analysis results, corrective actions, and implementation plans to manufacturing teams ・Support implementation of countermeasures and software updates at plants ・Register released software into BOM management systems ・Coordinate software release schedules and deployment instructions to manufacturing sites ・Act as a communication hub between manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams ・Track project progress, manage escalations, and support problem resolution activities

・Bilingual in English and Japanese ・English: Business level or above for meetings and coordination ・Japanese: JLPT N2 equivalent or above for technical communication ・Basic understanding of IT and software development processes ・Strong communication and coordination skills ・Comfortable working in multicultural and cross-functional environments ・Experience in manufacturing industries or mass production environments preferred ・Software development, QA, or troubleshooting experience is a plus ・Experience with BOM management systems is preferred ・Experience with scripting or workflow automation is a plus
