Job description

As a NOC Technician, you will be responsible for supporting our Customer Support Representatives (CSRs), and Field Techs in their daily operations and help troubleshoot and resolve more complex network issues for Plains Internet customers. You will also be responsible for handling escalated support tickets and calls., * Provide technical support for Fiber and Fixed Wireless Internet Services

  • Resolve end user home network issues
  • Assist CSRs and Field Techs with troubleshooting complex network issues
  • Train CSRs and Field Techs on new technology both software and hardware
  • Assist Field Techs in configuring equipment
  • Ensure timely completion of escalated support tickets
  • Remotely access network equipment to identify and resolve issues
  • Monitor network sites and customer premises equipment
  • Report and communicate network outages through proper channels
  • Diagnose network issues; document and escalate issues to senior NOC techs
  • Handle escalated calls in a professional manner
  • Be able to work and coordinate with other departments to resolve customer issues
  • Update and maintain customer account details with accurate data
  • Cross-train within other areas of the Network Operations team
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly tasks
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

Do you have experience in Computer literacy?, * Familiarity with Operations Support Systems and Business Support Systems OSS/BSS is a plus

  • Entry-level knowledge and experience of IP networking
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient computer/ keyboarding skills
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a fast-paced environment
  • Work well as a team or independently
  • A strong desire to learn about new technology in the service provider Industry
