Job description
Acuity is seeking a Technical Architect to serve as the lead technical authority for our Oracle Fusion Applications ecosystem . Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, Oracle Fusion Applications , you will be responsible for the end-to-end technical architecture, ensuring a scalable, secure, and highly integrated platform. You will design the "future-ready" foundation for our enterprise transformation, moving beyond standard SaaS configurations to build an intelligent, automated, and resilient engineering landscape., * OCI Design & Modernization: Architect and implement high-performance Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) footprints, including Hub-Spoke Network Architecture , Hybrid DNS configurations, and Security Zones .
- Resiliency & DR: Identify and fix gaps in Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations to ensure maximum platform resiliency and minimize potential data loss.
- Identity & Access Governance: Own the IAM/IDCS strategy for Fusion and OCI workloads, establishing best practices for Identity Federation , MFA , and Least-Privilege role provisioning., * Advanced Orchestration: Lead the design of complex integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) , leveraging best practices for error handling, data flow patterns, and reusable service adapters.
- PaaS & OOL Governance: Drive the development of PaaS4SaaS solutions (using VBCS and APEX) and establish technical governance for the Oracle Object Library (OOL) to ensure extensions are secure and upgrade-safe.
- API Strategy: Manage secure REST/SOAP API access and tokenization strategy for third-party boundary applications (e.g., OTM, E2Open).
AI & Emerging Technology
- Agentic AI Integration: Partner with the Director of Engineering to build and embed Agentic AI and LLM-driven automation directly into Oracle Fusion workflows.
- Data Enablement: Collaborate with Data Engineering to build consistent data models across Finance and SCM, ensuring data quality across the enterprise data lake and Fusion pipelines.
Engineering Delivery & DevOps
- CI/CD & Automation: Establish and oversee DevOps pipelines for configuration migration and integration deployment, utilizing tools like Git , Python , and Shell scripting to drive engineering efficiency.
- Technical Mentorship: Lead architecture governance forums, performing deep-dive design reviews and mentoring a global team of engineers to build cross-functional skill sets.
Requirements
- Architectural Depth: Proven ability to design "clean-core" ERP solutions that balance standard functionality with essential, scalable extensions.
- Pragmatic Problem Solver: Able to resolve complex cloud connectivity issues, such as private peering and cross-region workload management.
- Stakeholder Management: Experienced in liaising between offshore delivery teams, internal business leaders, and external vendors.
Education (minimum education required)
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Information Technology
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
- Certifications: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Certified Architect Professional and Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration Certified Professional are highly preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of IT experience, with at least 8+ years focused on Oracle Fusion (Finance/SCM) and OIC/PaaS architectures.
- Technical Stack: Deep proficiency in Java, Python, PL/SQL , and the Oracle technology stack ( SOA, OSB, ODI, VBCS ).
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT Management, or a related engineering field.
Benefits & conditions
The range for this position is $150,000 to $271,000. Placement within this range may vary, depending on the applicant's experience and geographic location.
