This position serves as the Salesforce Developer supporting the Illinois Liquor Control Commission (ILCC) performing complex application design, configuration, testing and deployment functions. In this role you will test software development efforts, including coding, configuration, maintenance, installation, testing, and debugging, as well as managing timelines and producing technical documentation. In addition, you will design, develop and maintain the complex workflow rules, validation rules and custom workflows. - Serves as a project team member.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the Information Technology field by continuing education through online , training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Requirements
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Application Services or a related Information Technology field., * Requires three (3) years of professional experience developing, supporting, and maintaining the Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms, including performing complex application design, configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Requires three (3) years of professional software development experience, including coding, configuration, maintenance, installation, testing, and debugging.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience using software development best practices-including Agile methods, version control, structured testing, and quality assurance-to support ongoing operations, system enhancements, and bug fixes.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience maintaining, updating, and optimizing database systems, with a strong focus on ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability across interconnected systems., * Three (3) years of professional experience developing, supporting, and maintaining the Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms, including performing complex application design, configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.

- Ability to design, document, and implement new or improved business processes, including leading user adoption efforts, delivering training or guidance, and supporting organizational change initiatives.
- Ability to manage and execute complex project assignments within set time frames, including identifying risks, constraints, and mitigation strategies, and collaborating on project scheduling and deliverables.
- Ability to establish, maintain, and strengthen customer and stakeholder relationships, including experience analyzing business needs, providing technical guidance, and resolving complex customer issues and inquiries.
- Extensive knowledge and practical application of modern software engineering tools and technologies, including Azure DevOps, HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Apex, Eclipse, SOQL, Lightning components, OmniStudio (OmniScripts, FlexCards, Data Mappers), and integration technologies (SOAP/REST APIs and Apex Web Services).
- Extensive knowledge of Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, testing cycles, documentation, and continuous improvement practices.
- Certification in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Salesforce.com Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) or Developer.

- Requires the ability to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, short notice, evenings, weekends and holidays.
