Job description
As a valued member of our team, Quality Assurance technician will oversee design mixes, maintain project files, schedule trial batches, monitor mix submittal process and job service requirements. The technician will communicate with the Quality Control Manager to gather information regarding mix requirements, review project specifications and perform mix submittals. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be a self-starter and operate with limited supervision., * Evaluate test data and compile files for mix submittals and provide history of mix performance.
- Process and test aggregates per ASTM specifications, cast and test concrete cylinders per ASTM specifications, evaluate concrete and aggregate performances, maintain mix items and costs in Command Series.
- Knowledge of cement testing requirements and process required to obtain approvals of state agencies including Caltrans.
- Working knowledge of concrete admixtures, supplementary cementitious materials and various aggregates and their impact on the performance in concrete mix designs.
- Working knowledge of concrete mix design performance with various constituents.
- Working knowledge of concrete, cement and aggregate testing procedures complying with ASTM and ACI requirements.
- Diagnose and analyze concrete performance issues or any concerns customers may have in the performance of mixes.
Non-Essential Duties:
- Managing waste to contribute to overall efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with labeling regulations.
- Compliance in managing documentation control.
- Conduct quality audits to ensure that the quality policies are being adhered to.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Manufacturing company experience?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, * Able to motivate, coach and develop employees.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend assignments may be required depending on workload and service needs.
Travel Required: Overnight Travel, less than 5%
Travel to various projects, plants and seminars will be required to provide service and support.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Associate's degree in business or related field.
- ACI certification, training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- 2+ years experience working in a fast paced, construction/concrete manufacturing industry, with a diverse culture.
- Valid California driver's license.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- 4+ years experience working in a construction/concrete manufacturing industry with a diverse culture.
- ACI Field Grade One certification.
