Provide Tier 2-3 technical support for end-users, servers, networks, and enterprise applications.

Administer,maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows Server and Windows environments.

Implement,validate, andmaintainDoD STIG compliance across systems, applications, and network devices.

Configure and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.

Deploy patches, updates, and security configurations following best practices and compliance requirements.

Diagnose and resolve escalated hardware, software, networking, and security issues.

Maintainaccuratedocumentation of systems, configurations, procedures, and compliance records.

Support system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance audits.

Assistin planning and executing IT infrastructure upgrades and migrations.

Collaborate with cybersecurity and system administration teams to strengthen enterprise security posture.
Requirements
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Tier 2-3 IT Technician with advanced Microsoft systemsexpertiseand deep familiarity with DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides). This role supports complex technical environments, ensures compliance with security standards, and provides advanced troubleshooting across enterprise systems.
The proposed salary range for this position is $75,000-$95,000. There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications., Education and Years of Experience: High School Diploma (Bachelor's degree preferred) and 3-7 years of experience in an IT support or systems administration role (Tier 2-3 level)

Advancedproficiencywith Microsoft ecosystems, including:

Windows Server (2016/2019/2022)

Active Directory and GPO management
-
Microsoft 365 administration
-
Demonstrated experience applying andmaintainingSTIG compliance.

Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and network layers.

Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., ACAS, Nessus) and remediation practices.

Ability to interpret security requirements and translate them into technical implementations.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.

Highly organized with attention to detail.

Comfortable handling high-priority escalations and complex technical challenges.

Team-oriented, collaborative, and proactive.
PREFERRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

DoD 8570/8140 certifications (e.g., Security+,CySA+, CCNA Security).
-
MCSA, MCSE, or Microsoft role-based certifications.
-
Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware).
-
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation and compliance tasks.

Experience with log analysis or SIEM platforms.
