What You'll Do
- Actively design, build, and optimize scalable ETL pipelines for structured and semi-structured data
- Design and implement complex data models using industry best practices
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and craft solutions that drive outcomes
- Architect and implement robust, maintainable, and high-performance data solutions
- Automate workflows to reduce manual intervention and enhance data processing efficiency
- Mentor junior data engineers through code reviews and technical guidance, setting best practices and fostering technical growth
- Ensure data quality and governance
Requirements
- Completed Degree in related field with 6+ years of data engineering experience
- Expert-level hands-on coding skills specifically in Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, and tools like Airflow, Databricks, and dbt
- Strong experience working in cloud platforms (AWS OR GCP)
- Experience operating as a Technical Lead
- Real-time / streaming (event-driven pipelines, Kafka, etc.) experience preferred
- Exposure to ML, personalization, recommendations, or feature pipelines preferred

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the hourly pay range is $75/hr-$95/hr. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The hourly pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
