Job description
ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors is seeking a Computer Operator IV in support of our Sheppard AFB Base Operations Support Contract Located in Wichita Falls, TX., Provides system administration support to the civil engineering function for ACES and other software. Provides troubleshooting for assigned IT equipment. Assists assigned personnel with computer operations. Loads new software and installs new equipment when required. Manages the ITE account., * Leads ACES support section. Ensures superior support to Sheppard AFB, CE activity and Government designated CE representatives as required.
- Maintain, update, generate, and manage reports from current and government designated replacement database systems, and other data collection systems as required by the government.
- Provide functional system administration support for CE systems such as ACES (AWIMS, CEMAS, ARIS), GEOBASE and all other government mandated/designated systems.
- Manage Information Technology Equipment (ITE), audio visual (AV) equipment, acquisition, inventory, and software license activities.
- Provides system administration to the ITE systems in civil engineering.
- Assists system users with operator problems in all assigned operating systems.
- Oversees ITE inventory and software inventory. Performs annual inventory of assets.
- Plans annual ITE purchases to update the working inventory. Ensures installation of "patches" provided by the government.
- Manages the installation of new hardware as it is available, and processes outdated or inoperable hardware for turn-in.
- Manages COMSEC account. Acts as either primary or alternate Information Assurance Officer and Security manager, when assigned.
- Manages Information Awareness training to all personnel assigned who have computer access.
- Manages process for personnel clearances and software/computer access.
- Provides courteous service to all customers. Other duties as assigned to meet customer and mission requirements.
Requirements
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Must be able to qualify for a SECRET security clearance.
- Must have minimum three (3) years' computer systems administration experience.
- Must be a US or Permanent Citizen due to contract requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field desired.
