Job description

  • Lead end-to-end migration from Snowflake to Azure Fabric, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
  • Design scalable and secure data architectures aligned with business requirements
  • Define and implement migration strategies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and translate requirements
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL and Python
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning post-migration
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex data and pipeline issues
  • Document architecture, processes, and provide knowledge transfer to teams

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in data migration, specifically transitioning data warehouses to Azure Fabric.

This role requires not only technical expertise but also strategic implementation skills to ensure a seamless migration. As a key contributor, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance our data architecture, leveraging your proficiency in Snowflake and Azure Data Lake., * 6-10 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and the Azure ecosystem

  • Proven experience in Snowflake to Azure migration projects (must-have)

  • Experience with Azure services such as Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, and Fabric

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python

  • Strong understanding of data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema)

  • Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development and orchestration

  • Expertise in performance tuning and cost optimization

  • Knowledge of data security, governance (RBAC), and compliance

  • Ability to design enterprise-scale data architectures

  • Experience with AI/ML or Generative AI implementations

  • Exposure to Azure Fabric advanced capabilities

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code

  • Relevant Azure certifications
