Cloud Platform Engineer

As a Cloud Platform Engineer, you will develop and operate our rCloud Landing Zone - the technological foundation for secure and scalable cloud workloads in one of Austria's most demanding IT environments:

• Architect and continuously evolve our cloud platform and engineering standards
• Fully automate cloud resource deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Terragrunt) and CI/CD workflows
• Define reusable architecture patterns for Networking, IAM, Governance, Security and Logging
• Ensure platform scalability, reliability, performance, and security at enterprise scale
• Expand observability capabilities and improve reliability through data driven insights
• Troubleshoot and support resolution of operational issues across all environments sustainably - not just treat symptoms
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain high platform availability (additional compensation included)

• Cloud-Know-How: Experience operating production workloads on one of the hyperscalers AWS, Azure, GCP or OCI
• IaC & Automation: Hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (preferably Terraform) and version-controlled deployments (GitOps)
• Observability: Understanding of monitoring, logging, and operational best practices in production cloud environments
• Security & IAM: Know-how in governance frameworks, policy enforcement, IAM and access models
• Cloud Networking: Solid understanding of cloud networking capabilities (Routing, VPN, FastConnect/DirectConnect equivalents, load balancing)
• Platform Engineering: Understanding of good practices of Reliability Engineering & Incident Response
• Mindset and way of working: Willingness to work in a product-oriented, customer - focused environment
• Fluency in German or English
• Willingness to relocate to Austria
