Job description
As a ServiceNow Integration Engineer (f/m/d), you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of integrations and workflow automations on the ServiceNow platform. The role focuses on enabling reliable, scalable, and secure workflow orchestration using ServiceNow Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and API-based integrations to connect internal systems, enterprise platforms, and agents.
You will work closely with business analysts, process owners, platform architects, and engineering teams to understand workflow and integration requirements and translate them into robust technical designs. By applying best practices in integration architecture, error handling, and platform governance, you will help ensure that ServiceNow-based workflows are production-ready, resilient, and aligned with enterprise and regulatory standards.
This role is hands-on and delivery-focused, contributing directly to the stability, efficiency, and scalability of enterprise workflows within a regulated asset management environment.
This position will be based in Munich, Frankfurt or Hong Kong.
What you will do
Integration Engineering
- Design and implement integrations between ServiceNow Workflow (Flow Designer, Integration Hub) and internal systems, enterprise platforms, and agents
- Develop, maintain, and optimize workflow automations using ServiceNow Flow Designer and Integration Hub actions and spokes
- Implement and maintain API-based integrations, including REST, SOAP, webhooks, and event-driven integration patterns
- Ensure integration reliability and operational stability through monitoring, diagnostics, logging, and performance tuning
- Apply best practices for error handling, scalability, reusability, and data integrity in workflow and integration design
Collaboration Delivery
- Collaborate with business analysts and process owners to translate workflow and integration requirements into technical designs and implementation plans
- Work closely with platform architects and engineering teams to ensure solutions align with overall platform architecture and design principles
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, workflow failures, and data inconsistencies across connected systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement of ServiceNow integration patterns, development standards, and operational practices within the team
Compliance Governance
- Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, interface specifications, data mappings, and operational runbooks
- Ensure all integrations and workflows align with platform governance, architecture standards, security requirements, and secure development policies

Requirements
Do you have experience in Web services?, * Several years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, with a strong focus on Integration Hub, Flow Designer, and workflow automation
- Proven experience designing and implementing API-based integrations, within complex enterprise environments
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with internal systems, enterprise platforms, and third-party applications
- Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments (e.g. financial services, asset management, insurance) is highly desirable
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and collaboration within cross-functional teams
Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of ServiceNow Flow Designer and Integration Hub, including use of pre-built and custom actions and spokes

Solid understanding of integration patterns, including synchronous and asynchronous APIs, webhooks, and event-driven workflows

Experience with REST and SOAP web services, authentication mechanisms, and data mapping

Understanding of error handling, logging, monitoring, and performance considerations for enterprise integrations

Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation such as architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and runbooks

General understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, including identity, security, and platform governance concepts

ServiceNow certifications are strongly recommended, particularly:

ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow Micro-Certification - Integration Hub (SMC-IH)

ServiceNow Micro-Certification - Flow Designer (SMC-FD)

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are considered an advantage

Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Ethics is a plus
