Job description
We are looking for a Data Steward (DS) with a big passion for master data and biscuits. We offer you the opportunity to join our team and contribute to our mission to bring 'Happiness with every bite'.
About the position
The DS fulfils an important role within the pladis Europe & Developing Markets (EDM) organisation, working closely with the business stakeholders (data owners/champions) ensuring that data is created and maintained to the required standard and in a timely manner. The DS reports to the Manager Data Management Office and is member of the IS/IT department.
Your main responsibilities
Master Data:
- Maintain the master data in our ERP system (JD-Edwards).
- Register projects in the Data Management System (DMS) and on SharePoint.
- Monitor and processes all DMS requests.
- Sense check the supplied master data.
- Update user defined tables in JDE.
- Perform data cleansing.
- Maintain data related to eco-tax requirements.
- Generate new GTIN's (barcode) for our entities.
- Synchronize product data via the internal PIM system.
- Maintain the Customer & Supplier Address Book.
Copack
- Setup Bill of Materials (BoM) for the copack activities.
- Validate the provided cost price calculation.
- BoM housekeeping i.e. packaging updates, inactivation of obsoletes.
Price maintenance
- Add or update purchase & customer prices.
- Calculation of cost prices and intercompany prices based on internal financial rules.
- Accountable for the Management Information System (MIS).
- Preparation and execution of the annual cost update process.
The Data Steward EDM is responsible for the daily data management of the sites within the region, in combination to their main sales market (i.e. Verkade/Holland, BN/France Pladis Belgium and Pladis Europe). The DS works independent and makes decisions within the agreed guidelines and procedures. The DS discusses master data related subjects with (international) colleagues and peers in other regions. He/she oversees the consequences of its actions within the organization and applications. Furthermore, the DS is pro-active and reports possible issues in a timely matter. Next to this he/she is willing to help colleagues with their master data related questions.

- Education at HBO level (Data / Business / Logistics / Finance).
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role / ambition to learn and built up the required knowledge & skills.
- JD-Edwards, SRC-PDM & GS1.
- Familiar with ecotax rules (Verpact).
- You must have an eye for details and are analytical (self-controlling).
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English.
