Job description
We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Team Leader to join the Newham Rise team. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work flexibly and creatively to manage the data admin team in Newham. You will ensure that service users have a safe space to access support and treatment, in a way that best meets their needs. You will also be responsible for managing a team of people in varied roles, including but not limited to
- Clinical Administrators
- Data Administrators
- Receptionists
- Data Analysts, You will be responsible for ensuring data collected at the service is of a high quality and work with the wider leadership to drive performance and continuous improvement. You will oversee submissions to NDTMS, regulators, commissioners and external partners., Role Specific responsibilities:
- Line management of a team of administrative staff which includes supervision, appraisal, performance and sickness management as well as ensuring staff follow CGL and external policies applicable to their roles.
- To provide advice, information and reports clearly and concisely via the most appropriate channel (e.g. verbally, in writing, telephone, e-mail etc. whilst being sensitive to the needs of the audience e.g. service user, professional).
- Produce and provide accurate data reporting in line with home office, OHID, commissioner requirements.
- Share information sensitively within the terms of information sharing protocols with a range of agencies when necessary, in line with Change Grow Live policies and contractual requirements.
- To be the main port of call for all data relating matters as well as undertake regular and ad hoc requests from Regional Director's, Service Manager and Commissioning Data.
- Contribute to the management of an effective appointments system and all elements of office administration, e.g. photocopying, filing, minute taking.
- To promote the benefits of stopping smoking and the stop smoking services through a variety of mechanisms.
- Maintain strong governance and monitoring systems, ensuring a consistent, high quality service and ensure professional standards are met and best practice is implemented.
- To deliver training (as required) to staff and volunteers to ensure administrative requirements and data recording within the service are maintained.
- Provide additional administration support to ensure the smooth running of Operations across the service when needed.
Requirements
- Experience of line management, ability to lead, inspire and develop a team
- Experience of carrying out statistical analysis of data/information
- IT literacy and experience of using data management systems including proficiency in word processing, data entry, maintaining databases and familiarity with Outlook, Word and Excel
- Experience of managing office and administration functions
- A professional, empathetic and non-judgmental attitude towards service users
- Knowledge and experience of delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards
- The willingness to keep up-to-date will local and national trends and undertake own training and development as required
- Understanding of the harmful effects associated with smoking
- A clear understanding of data protection, information sharing and confidentiality issues
- Excellent minute taking skills
- Experience of chair team meetings
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and procedures
- Experience of the effective use of leading on supervision

For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours., * 25 days of annual leave (plus bank holidays ), increasing by one day for each year of service (capped at 30 days).
