We're partnered with an established SAP Business One Gold Partner who are expanding their consultancy team across the Thames Valley. As SAP Business One Functional Consultant you'll own end-to-end implementations for SME clients across manufacturing, wholesale distribution and professional services - running discovery workshops, configuring the application to match business processes, leading data migration and supporting clients from blueprint through go-live and beyond. This is a delivery-focused role with genuine client ownership rather than ticket-shuffling., Facilitate scoping and process-mapping workshops with finance, operations and warehouse stakeholders; configure SAP Business One modules (Financials, Sales A/R, Purchasing A/P, Inventory, Production, MRP) to documented requirements; design and oversee data migration from legacy systems (Sage 50, Sage 200, QuickBooks, bespoke databases); deliver key-user and end-user training; produce functional specifications for any bespoke add-ons or SDK extensions; lead UAT and cutover planning; and provide hyper-care support post go-live. You'll work alongside technical consultants and a project manager, reporting into the practice lead.
Requirements
Two or more full-cycle SAP Business One implementations as the lead functional consultant. Strong grounding in core finance and supply-chain process design, with the confidence to challenge a client when their "as-is" process won't serve them well. Comfortable writing SQL queries, formatted searches and alerts; exposure to SAP HANA (in-memory) is a meaningful plus and tends to command a premium in this market. Familiarity with common add-ons (Boyum B1 Usability Package, Produmex WMS, CompuTec PDC) is welcome but not essential. UK-based, eligible to work without sponsorship, and willing to travel to client sites occasionally across the South.
Benefits & conditions
Competitive base of £50,000 - £65,000 dependent on experience, performance-related bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, private medical, certification budget (including HANA migration paths and Boyum certifications), genuine flexibility on the hybrid pattern, and a clear progression route into Solution Architect or Practice Lead positions.
