Job description
A growing Managed Service Provider is looking for a 1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their team. You'll be based in their St. Albans office for the majority of the week, with regular client visits in central London - all travel costs covered. Flexible working hours available (e.g. 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm etc)., Day to day, you'll be:
- Delivering high-quality remote and on-site support across a range of technical issues and platforms.
- Taking ownership of incidents from assignment through to resolution, ensuring SLAs are met.
- Troubleshooting applications, networks, and infrastructure issues for a varied client base.
- Supporting, training, and mentoring junior team members where needed.
- Attending London customer sites 1-2 days per week to provide on-site support (travel expenses covered).
Requirements
This is a hands-on role for someone with MSP experience who takes ownership of their tickets, works well under pressure, and genuinely enjoys solving problems. You'll be part of a supportive team where your development is actively invested in - including funded certifications.
Please note: a full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for this role, Essential experience:
- MSP background - essential.
- Microsoft 365 - tenant migrations, Exchange, SharePoint, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune/Autopilot, Conditional Access, MFA, and end-to-end deployments.
- Windows Server 2016+ and Windows 11 Pro / macOS desktop support.
- Active Directory administration, VMware, and Hyper-V.
- Networking troubleshooting - TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, UniFi, DrayTek, Fortigate.
- Email security solutions and online backup / disaster recovery.
- A hands-on, problem-solving approach with a calm head under pressure.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Beneficial (not essential):
- Experience with Atera RMM (the MSP's internal tooling - full training provided).
- IT certifications such as CCNA, or CompTIA.
- Azure or Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, MS-900 etc.).
