We have an opportunity for a Senior Principal Radar Receiver Exciter Hardware Lead seeking to solve complex technical problems and provide highly innovative and ingenious solutions in the area of Radar and Receiver Exciter design, analysis, integration and test. Radar Receiver Exciter Hardware Leads are responsible for leading architecture development and subsystem analysis, integration and test, and transition to production of advanced receiver and exciter hardware and firmware utilized in complex radar systems. The technical challenges range from RF chain and link budget analysis to digital signal processing algorithm definition and verification. These engineers are integral in all phases of Radar design and integration from requirements definition to system sell-off and verification.
What You Will Do:
- Receiver and Exciter architecture development and Requirements Flow down.
- Interface definition between Receiver Exciter subsystem and other subsystems.
- Support of signal processing algorithm definition based on Receiver/Exciter capabilities and system needs.
- Resolve complex technical issues seen during design, integration, and test of Radar Receiver and Exciter sub-systems.
- Process and analyze Radar Receiver/Exciter data, including but not limited to IQ Data, to identify and resolve system performance issues.
- Support system and subsystem level radar integration planning, execution, and reporting Develop calibration solutions for receiver / exciters to meet top level radar performance specification.
- Support the resolution of complex technical issues seen during the integration and test of Radar Receiver and Exciter sub-systems.
- Interface with customers with technical and program level status.
- Lead small development teams.
- Participate in design for manufacturing and transition to production reviews.
- This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site & with an opportunity to be based in Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA, with travel required between the two sites.
Requirements
Do you have experience in System architecture design?, The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, * Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 10 years' of prior work experience, or an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' of prior work experience.
- Minimum seven (7) years of prior work experience to include any combination of the following:
- Experience with Radar Receiver / Exciter signal processing techniques and methods.
- Experience with analytical tools such as MATLAB.
- Experience with Radar Receiver / Exciter system and subsystem analysis, design and/or test., * Experience in cascade analysis and frequency planning.
- Experience with I/Q signal processing analysis in MATLAB, C/C++, Python, or other programming languages.
- Understanding of allocating and flowing down requirements from the system to the component level.
- Experience with Digital Signal Processing techniques and FPGA implementation.
- Low Noise RF source design and test knowledge.
- Radar system calibration design experience.
- Hands-on experience working in a laboratory environment using test equipment including using spectrum analyzers, Real-time Spectrum Analyzers (RSAs), Vector Network Analyzers (VNAs) logic analyzers and Performance Network Analyzer (PNAs).
- Experience interfacing with internal and external customers and finding technical solutions to complex requirements.
- Knowledge of cost estimating, plus budget and schedule management.
- Experience transitioning designs from early concept to deliverable products.

- Dental insurance, The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
