Job description
We are seeking a versatile Senior SAP MM/PP/SD Functional Architect to drive the efficiency of our end-to-end supply chain. This role focuses on the seamless integration of production planning, sales, and procurement. You will be the primary architect for our Plan-to-Produce and Order-to-Cash cycles, ensuring our manufacturing plants stay synchronized with customer demand. While expertise in all three core modules (PP, SD, MM) is required, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how these modules interact in a high-volume building products environment.
- Core Responsibilities
- Integrated Process Design: Own the functional design for the entire supply chain, ensuring smooth hand-offs between Sales (SD), Procurement (MM), and the Factory Floor (PP).
- Production Excellence: Optimize Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS) strategies to balance manufacturing efficiency with customer lead times.
- Inventory & Logistics: Oversee Warehouse Management (WM) and Materials Management (MM) to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient movement of heavy/bulky building materials.
- Requirements Gathering: Lead workshops with business leads to translate industry requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- System Configuration: Perform hands-on configuration across the three core modules and manage technical integration with Finance (FICO).
- Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the production or shipping cycles and implement SAP best practices to resolve them.

Do you have experience in Warehouse logistics management?, Role Type: Full-Time / Senior Lead Core Modules: SAP PP, SD, MM (Expert Level) Supporting Modules: WM (Proficient); VC (Preferred/Nice-to-Have), * Expertise in MRP (Material Requirements Planning), Work Centers, Routing, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Experience with Shop Floor Control, including production order management, confirmations, and backflushing.
- Knowledge of capacity planning and scheduling for multi-line manufacturing plants.
Sales & Distribution (SD)
- Strong knowledge of Pricing Procedures, Billing, and Shipping/Transportation.
- Expertise in Availability Check (ATP) and Delivery Scheduling to manage customer expectations for large-scale projects.
Materials Management (MM) & Warehouse Management (WM)
- Mastery of Purchasing, Inventory Management, and Material Master data.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management (WM), specifically for handling oversized items, storage bin optimization, and picking/put-away strategies.
Variant Configuration (VC) - Nice-to-Have
- Bonus: Experience with basic product characteristics or configurable materials is a plus, but not a requirement. We are willing to train a strong generalist in this area.
- Industry-Specific Experience
- 10-12+ years of hands-on SAP functional experience.
- Direct experience in Building Products and/or Discrete Manufacturing.
- Experience with S/4HANA is highly preferred.
- Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or Information Systems.
- SAP Certification in at least one core module (PP, SD, or MM).
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead complex, multi-module troubleshooting.
