Job description
Under the supervision of the System Administrator, the Technical Services Analyst position maintains a 24/7 production environment via internal and external computer hardware, operating systems, networks, configuration, connectivity, setup, password management, and security of data., * Provides a 24/7 stable, secure technical environment by maintaining health, stability, security, and functionality of all network connections, networking hardware, and equipment,
- Ensures accurate schedules and logs of operations activities, and timely communications to impacted users
- Works with Technical Services team on design, recommendations, development, maintenance, integration, support, growth, and security of network infrastructure and legacy systems and applications
- Provides technical support to new and existing users on all equipment needs, including workstations, telephones, printers, security software, systems, back-up systems, and ancillary equipment
- Monitors the status of servers, software, firewalls, and switches
- Participates in upgrades to hardware and software
- Maintains current documentation on the network configuration, Disaster Recovery documents, system downtime records, equipment inventory, offsite access, and ISO Documentation of work instructions
- Remotely monitor systems for issues via Remote PC and Cell Phone
- Daily and monthly monitoring and reconcilement of various operations activities in accordance with department processes
- Maintains and monitors new, changed, and termed user functions, including suspect suspicious activity
- Completes various daily and monthly reporting per department processes
- Perform all other duties as assigned by senior management.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Operating systems?, Do you have a Associate's degree?, Position generally requires extended periods of sitting or use of a standing desk if preferred. Additional physical requirements include:
- Ability to lift, carry and move PC's, monitors, servers, and network equipment
- Ability to pull wire both in ceilings and at baseboard level
- Ability to stand or crouch for extended periods while resolving hardware issues
Placement Criteria
Analyst 1:
- 6-12 months Help Desk, Technical Support, and/or Network Administration work experience preferred
- CompTIA, Cisco, and/or Microsoft Certifications a plus
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be customer-oriented and able to adapt to MedBen's corporate culture.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends as required for on-call monitoring, installations, upgrades, or problem resolution
Analyst 2: Promotion to, or consideration for, Analyst 2 will be determined by the interviewing manager and supervisor. The following criteria will be considered:
- More than 1 year of previous work experience in the area of Help Desk, Technical Support, and Network Administration
- Associate degree in computer science or related field, required
- Four-year degree in Computer Science or related field, preferred
- Demonstrated competency in setting up and maintaining servers in a virtual environment
- Demonstrated competency in MS Exchange, Active Directory, Cisco, firewalls, and switches
- Demonstrated competency working with storage devices, and security and virus protection software, * Help Desk, Technical Support and/or Network Administration: 1 year (Required)

- Department coverage in-office between the hours of 7am and 5pm, Monday - Friday
- On-call duty requires the Technical Services Analyst to be located within a 45-minute commute to the office
