Job description

A Splunk Dashboard Developer job in Springfield, VA or Beltsville, MD is currently available through Belcan at one of our key Federal Civilian clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a bachelor's degree and 14 years of relevant experience., * Develop and maintain dashboards natively within Splunk using SPL (Search Processing Language) and Dashboard Studio / Simple XML.

  • Optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability with large data sets.
  • Collaborate with NT leadership, engineers, operators, and stakeholders to ensure dashboards meet operational and mission requirements.
  • Assist in data modeling, reporting, and access control configuration for secure and effective information sharing.
  • Support documentation and training for dashboard users.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and fourteen (14) years of experience, or a master's degree and twelve (12) years of experience.
  • Strong experience with Splunk dashboard development and SPL query language.
  • Proven ability to design and optimize Splunk dashboards for large, complex datasets.
  • Experience translating operational requirements into actionable visualizations.
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools for sharing dashboards across teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience in a government environment.
  • Familiarity with IT-related (specifically network) data and metrics.
  • Familiarity with IT operations, monitoring, or ticketing platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Ability to use APIs to pull data from Splunk for custom reporting or integrations.
  • Some Power BI experience for cases where Splunk dashboards may not meet all visualization needs.

Benefits & conditions

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $155,000 - $175,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
