Job description

We are seeking a dedicated analytical Senior BI Developer to join our team in Parsippany! The Senior Analytics Developer designs, develops, and optimizes scalable analytics and data solutions that support enterprise reporting, analytics, and data-driven decision-making. This highly technical, hands-on role requires advanced expertise in data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence. Working with a high degree of independence and professional judgment, the Senior Analytics Developer partners with Analytics leadership and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into reliable, high-performing data pipelines, models, and reporting solutions. The role exercises discretion in selecting technical approaches and is accountable for the accuracy, reliability, and performance of analytics solutions. The position also plays a key role in establishing analytical standards, ensuring data quality, and providing technical leadership within the Data & Analytics function., * Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using SQL, Python, and Apache Airflow.

  • Develop and optimize data models and data warehouse structures in Snowflake and PostgreSQL.
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, performance, and accuracy across all data pipelines and analytics systems, assuming ownership for assigned analytics domains from data ingestion through reporting delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, and semantic models.
  • Apply best practices in Power BI data modeling, DAX development, Power Query, and performance optimization.
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, forecasting opportunities, and actionable insights.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Define, implement, and enforce data quality standards, validation logic, and governance processes.

  • Maintain clear documentation for data models, pipelines, transformations, and reporting logic.
  • Collaborate closely with Analytics Managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver solutions from requirements through deployment.
  • Participate in end-to-end analytics solution delivery, including design, development, testing, and optimization.
  • Contribute to analytics architecture decisions, tooling evaluations, and platform optimization efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers and analysts.
  • Ensure analytics solutions align with business objectives and support operational efficiency and performance measurement.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical documentation?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.

  • Minimum of 5-8+ years of experience as a BI developer, data analyst, or related role.
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions, including data pipelines, models, and dashboards.
  • Advanced technical proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Power BI, with the ability to design and support enterprise-scale analytics solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to assess complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
  • Ability to translate complex technical and analytical concepts into clear, concise, and meaningful insights for executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to present analytics, findings, and recommendations to leadership and
  • cross-functional teams in a clear, professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills, including written documentation and verbal presentations tailored to diverse audiences.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, quality, and governance standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and exercise sound professional judgment and decision-making authority in a senior-level role.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with analytics leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.
