Job description
Systems Engineers implement, support, maintain, and manage IT services, including networking, IT security, email, and disaster recovery.
Systems Engineers provide advanced technical support for desktop, server, and networking issues. Systems Engineers ensure all IT services are properly maintained and upgraded, including anti-virus, backups, imaging, and patching.
Systems Engineers provide subject matter expertise for both hardware and software.
Other responsibilities include:
- Monitor existing systems to ensure structural integrity
- Oversee the development and installation of new hardware and software
- Install and configure operating systems and other software and routinely test installed software for glitch detection and other issues
- Provide technical direction to IT support staff
- Ensure constant availability of technical resources
- Design and implement security systems and redundant backups to maintain data safety
- Write custom scripts to reduce the need for human intervention ECraft: ESY2
Requirements
Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree in engineering?, Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Hold and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's level degree in an Engineering discipline
3 years of professional experience in systems engineering.
Security+ certification is required.
