Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer / IT Support professional to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, managing computer hardware and software, and maintaining the overall health of our IT infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of desktop environments, enhance user productivity, and uphold security standards across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to IT support., * Deliver prompt and effective technical support for hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems including Windows and macOS.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve software problems related to Microsoft Office applications, operating systems, and custom enterprise applications.
  • Manage computer hardware assets, perform installations, upgrades, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure and support network components such as LAN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless solutions like Meraki.
  • Administer Active Directory accounts, group policies (GPO), and perform user account management through tools like SCCM and BMC Remedy.
  • Support mobile devices and peripherals ensuring connectivity and security compliance.
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining IT infrastructure components including servers (Windows Server, Linux), network devices, and security systems.
  • Utilize service management tools such as ServiceNow and Jira for incident tracking, ticketing, and documentation.
  • Conduct analysis of recurring issues to identify root causes and recommend improvements for system stability.
  • Collaborate with network administrators on LAN/WAN configurations and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Support remote users via VPN access solutions while ensuring security protocols are maintained.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical writing?, Experience using ticketing systems, writing technical support documentation and computer proficiency with hardware and software technologies is required. Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills are a must. The ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure are required. Must be willing to work flexible hours when appropriate. Prior customer service, call center or help desk experience is required.
