Job description
- Lead a software development team to design and develop our solution to control and monitor mission critical VLF transmitters
- Work collaboratively with the Product Manager, Software Architect, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to update and maintain the multi-year Feature Roadmap through development, integration, test, and deployment
- Decompose Features, groom Stories, establish dependencies, and plan with the development team for the next Increment (3 month lookahead)
- Support the Product Manager and Control Account Manager (CAM) in capturing data needed to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and opportunities
- Support software requirements and Unified Modeling Language (UML) design diagrams within a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tool
- Support development and integration of multi-threaded embedded software using C and C++ within a Real Time Operating System (RTOS)
- Support integration and verification within our automated test framework
- Support document updates to meet customer Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)
- Support bid activities for customer related Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)

Requirements
- Experience leading a software development team within an Agile methodology
- Experience with software lifecycle processes, configuration control, and change management in high-integrity development environments
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience, * Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), system decomposition, and interface control across disciplines
- Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization in complex environments
- Experience in secure coding practices
- Experience with hardware-software integration and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
- Experience with development tool sets, including Jira, Git, Visual Studio Code, cmake

- And more!, The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
