Job description

  • Supervise, assign and oversee duties and taskings while mentoring Lead Systems Engineers in subsystem execution, leveraging broad technical expertise to guide cross-functional integration with all other Systems Engineering domains.
  • Serve as the Technical Lead for all Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities across the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) Subsystems.
  • Supervise and support the Systems Engineering team with Risk Analysis, Anomaly Analysis, Subsystem Project Integration, Risk and Opportunity Management Boards (ROMBs), and other Government IPT support. Apply risk management principles to identify, assess, plan, and mitigate subsystem and LTRS risks.
  • Oversee the development, integration, and operational acceptance efforts to fulfill Range modernization efforts.
  • Lead and coordinate the efforts of technical support staff on complex projects, ensuring successful integration for all LTRS subsystems.
  • Analyze potential systems investments, develop system architecture needs, and prepare supporting documentation and recommendations for management and customers.
  • Support Test & Evaluation, Project Integration, Architecture, and Requirements.
  • Provide support for launch operations.
  • Manage issues including risk, subsystem anomalies, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) cases.
  • Develop out-year plans (spend plans) and provide input for Government funding to address subsystem needs.
  • Support the development of acquisition documentation (SOO, SOW, PWS) for TPD procurements and assist in Request for Proposal (RFP) development.
  • Coordinate with Government customers and internal SFRC stakeholders.
  • Manage, develop, and execute systems engineering processes to ensure continuity across the SFRC.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results and delivering quality work., * Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering Management or a related STEM field is preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, with demonstrated experience in a lead or principal engineer role.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance (requires U.S. citizenship).
  • Proven experience as a technical and integration lead for subsystem modification and integration projects.
  • Extensive experience and subject matter expertise on various LTRS subsystems.
  • Experience working with Government requirements.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based computer systems and the Microsoft Office tool suite.
  • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo
  • Experience with requirements management tools such as the Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) is preferred.
  • Active participation in industry groups such as INCOSE is preferred.
  • Previous Range operations support is preferred.
  • Proven understanding and experience across multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., aerospace, electrical, mechanical, software, avionics), with the ability to seamlessly integrate diverse technical concepts into comprehensive systems engineering solutions.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual starting salary for this position is between $130,000-$140,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
