Job description

  • Assist in the development of structural designs using AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD software tools to create detailed drawings and models.
  • Conduct structural analysis utilizing finite element analysis (FEA) software and other system design tools to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with relevant codes.
  • Support project scheduling efforts by coordinating tasks, tracking milestones, and ensuring timely completion of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, and construction professionals to integrate design solutions effectively.
  • Prepare technical reports, memos, and documentation to communicate design concepts, analysis results, and project progress clearly and professionally.
  • Participate in construction oversight activities to verify that structures are built according to specifications and standards.
  • Utilize Bluebeam for document review, markup, and collaboration during project phases.
  • Engage in project management activities such as resource allocation, risk assessment, and client communication to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.

Requirements

In this role, you will support the design, analysis, and project management of structural systems across a variety of civil and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.   • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or eligibility for licensure preferred.
  • Proven experience with project management principles within civil or structural engineering contexts.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Mathcad, and GIS applications.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and technical writing standards.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering principles and system design methodologies.
  • Experience with project scheduling tools and techniques to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent drafting skills combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and industry best practices related to civil and structural engineering.
