We are seeking a highly motivated and technically curious individual to join our dynamic team supporting the company's users, applications, and web-based product offerings.
In this role, the Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) will play a key role in maintaining resources at peak efficiency to guarantee staff are able to perform their functions efficiently and to ensure a good customer experience across RANE's product offerings.The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and eager to grow within a fast-paced and mission-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor systems for uptime, create and manage alerting
- Triaging issues through log analysis and basic website and application functionality troubleshooting
- Building Usage dashboards & tracking capacity usage/planning metrics
- Documentation of troubleshooting processes
- Collaborate with development and development operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities and resolve other issues
- Audit users, systems, access and licensing to ensure compliance with company policies and practices
Requirements
Do you have experience in Python?, * Familiarity with AWS, Python, Shell Scripting, Linux, and MacOS
- 1 to 3 years experience in an IT related field, preferably support, system administration or site reliability
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred, though not required
- Excellent documentation and communications skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional team environments
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute project plans
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and participate in on-call rotation with occasional 24x7x365 availability
- An understanding of the following systems and processes, and candidate should expect exposure to and/or training on:
- Monitoring and alerting systems
- Log analysis systems
- Change management
- Patch management
- Email systems
- Networking basics
- Security best practices
- Incident response
- Disaster recovery
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
