Job description
As a member of the Infrastructure/DevOps team at LiquidityBook, you'll be an individual contributor responsible for architecting, implementing, and sustaining robust infrastructure for our mission-critical, latency-sensitive Order Management System platform. In addition to managing and automating our cloud-native infrastructure, you will collaborate closely with engineering teams to contribute directly to our Java-based application codebase and ensure maximum performance, scalability, and reliability.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement systems for high availability, performance, and scalability
- Automate infrastructure lifecycle with Terraform and oversee continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Contribute to the application codebase to support infrastructure initiatives such as tracing & observability, health check logic, and supporting regional failovers
- Create tooling for developers and support to access and query infrastructure
- Collaborate with other engineers on system architecture, deployments, and operational readiness.
- Monitor, investigate, and continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and latency
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or relevant
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, and/or Software Engineering roles with demonstrated expertise in large-scale, production-grade environments.
- Proven hands-on AWS experience
- Strong skills in Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Proficient in Java or other programming languages-able to architect and implement advanced features, debugging, and optimizations.
- Demonstrated experience in building maintaining and monitoring production applications and developing common deployment and DX tooling
- String understanding of distributed systems, failure modes, and design for reliability/availability.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Strong familiarity with CI/CD best practices and secure deployment methodologies.

Salary is just one component of our compensation package and is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, and certifications.
The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of Connecticut and New York is $190,000.00 - 220,000.00
