Job description
This role supports the design, configuration, and maintenance of Workday security, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable access across HCM modules, reporting, and integrations. The individual partners with HR, Technology, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to execute security solutions, support audit activities, and maintain strong internal controls. Acting as a subject-matter expert in Workday security, this role contributes to identifying risks, resolving issues, and improving security configurations through well-governed and effective design., * Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of Workday security across HCM modules, reporting, and integrations.
- Configure and maintain role-based and domain security, ensuring appropriate access, segregation of duties, and alignment with internal policies.
- Execute security controls related to SOX compliance, including access reviews, audit support, evidence collection, and remediation activities.
- Partner with HR, Technology, Risk, and Compliance stakeholders to understand requirements and implement secure, compliant solutions.
- Analyze and troubleshoot security issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement appropriate fixes with consideration of downstream impacts.
- Support Workday reporting and integration security, ensuring appropriate data access and adherence to security standards.
- Participate in security design discussions, providing recommendations based on best practices and system capabilities.
- Maintain documentation for security configurations, audit controls, and design decisions.
- Assist in evaluating Workday releases and new functionality, identifying potential impacts to security and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and prioritize security-related tasks, including enhancements, defects, access requests, and audit deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Strong experience in Workday Security, including HCM modules (Compensation, Payroll, Time Off and Absence, Benefits), reporting, and/or integration security.
- Experience configuring role-based security, including domain and business process security.
- Experience supporting SOX controls, audits, and access reviews, including evidence collection and remediation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure system configurations with guidance.
- Experience troubleshooting security issues and performing root cause analysis.
- Strong attention to detail with an understanding of data privacy and compliance considerations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work independently with appropriate guidance.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders., * Workday Security certification
- Experience working in a SOX-regulated environment
- Exposure to reporting and integration security concepts
