Your Role:
The Director of Growth & Infrastructure is responsible for expanding access to pediatric therapy services while building and maintaining the systems, technology, and clinic environments that support sustainable growth.
A crucial Leadership team position, this role sits at the intersection of growth, systems, and environment, with a primary focus on increasing the number of families accessing care, strengthening clinician recruitment pipelines, and ensuring the infrastructure behind that growth is reliable and scalable. This is a cross-functional role with significant ownership and the opportunity to shape how Playabilities grows over time.
This role focuses on the infrastructure that enables growth and supports operational success, including:
- External growth channels such as referrals, marketing, and community partnerships
- Technology ecosystem
- Facility operations and vendor management
The Director of Growth & Infrastructure partners closely with the Director of Operations to ensure that growth strategies and infrastructure improvements align with clinic capacity and team needs.
Core Areas of Ownership:
- Growth & Access to Care (75%)
Leads initiatives that increase the number of families accessing services and strengthen the pipeline of clinicians joining Playabilities.
Client Growth
- Drive strategies to increase new client requests and evaluations across all clinics
- Optimize referral pathways, including physician relationships, community partnerships, and digital channels.
- Partner with scheduling and leadership to identify and reduce barriers to access
- Monitor and act on key growth metrics (referrals, conversions, access timelines)
Community & Relationship Development
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, pediatricians, schools, and community organizations
- Represent Playabilities in the community to expand awareness and trust
Campaign Execution and Ownership
- Plan and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns aligned with monthly themes and growth priorities
- Own campaign performance from concept through execution, measurement, and translate insights into actional improvements
- Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure timely delivery of marketing initiatives
Content and Messaging Strategy
- Guide content strategy to ensure messaging is clear, consistent, and aligned with Playabilities' brand and values
- Partner on development of blogs, social media, email campaigns, and parent resources
- Ensure content supports both education and conversion
Recruitment Support
- Partner with HR and leadership to strengthen clinician recruiting pipelines
- Support marketing strategies that attract aligned, high-quality candidates
- Identify new channels and partnerships to expand applicant flow
- Technology Ecosystem (10%)
Ensures that technology and systems effectively support team efficiency, scalability, and a high-quality experience for both families and staff.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Playabilities and our IT managed service provider
- Oversee performance and functionality of core technology infrastructure (computers & iPads, MDM software, tenant configuration)
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and workflow improvement
- Evaluate, recommend, and support implementation of CRM and relationship management tools that strengthen referral development, recruitment outreach, communication tracking, and organizational growth initiatives
- Partner with leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies as needed
- Serves on internal committees, including but not limited to AI and HIPAA compliance
- Facilities & Clinic Environment (15%)
Ensures clinic environments are safe, functional, and aligned with the Playabilities experience for both families and staff.
- Oversee day-to-day facility needs across all clinic locations
- Manage vendor relationships (cleaning, maintenance, HVAC, repairs)
- Ensure clinics are consistently maintained and operating efficiently
- Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and ongoing facility improvements
- Support planning and execution of clinic expansions or buildouts
- Maintain a high standard for the physical environment across all locations
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 6-12 months, success in this role may include:
- Increased number of new client requests and improved access to care
- Stronger, more consistent clinician applicant pipeline
- Expanded and engaged referral network
- IT systems that remain reliable, efficient, and reduce friction for staff but are aligned with our long-term IT strategy
- Well-maintained, high-quality clinic environments across all locations
- Clear ownership and structure across growth and infrastructure functions
Other duties as assigned., * This role operates primarily within a clinical environment across multiple Playabilities locations
- Regular travel between clinic sites (Leawood, Lenexa, Prairie Village) is expected
- Combination of office-based work, on-site presence in clinics, and occasional community-based meetings
- Interaction with therapists, administrative staff, leadership, vendors, and community partners on a regular basis
- Fast-paced, collaborative environment with evolving priorities and opportunities for growth.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Vendor relationship building?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Experience in growth, marketing, systems, or cross-functional leadership roles
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external partners
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and build structure where it does not yet exist
- Experience with marketing platforms, CRM systems, email marketing tools (such as Mailchimp), or communication automation workflows preferred
- Experience with vendor management, technology systems, or facilities oversight preferred
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented
- Passionate about pediatric healthcare, community impact, or mission-driven work
Technical & Analytical Skills
- Ability to analyze performance data and trends related to client growth, referral sources, marketing effectiveness, and recruiting pipelines
- Comfort working with reporting platforms (e.g., Yellowfin, EMR/CRM systems, Google Analytics or similar tools) to inform decision-making
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions
- Experience evaluating systems and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability
- Ability to manage and interpret multiple data points to guide prioritization and resource allocation
- Proficiency with common business tools (Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, project tracking tools, etc.)
Relationship Management & Communication
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to establish trust across clinical, administrative, and leadership teams
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of audiences, including therapists, leadership, vendors, and community partners
- Comfortable navigating cross-functional collaboration and aligning multiple stakeholders toward shared goals
- Professional and confident communication style when representing Playabilities externally
- Ability to provide clear updates, expectations, and follow-through on projects and initiatives
- Skilled in giving and receiving feedback in a constructive and solutions-focused manner
Project Management & Strategic Thinking
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, with strong organization and follow-through
- Experience planning, executing, and tracking projects from concept through completion
- Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize high-impact work
- Ability to think strategically while also executing on day-to-day responsibilities
- Comfortable working in a role where not everything is fully built, with the ability to create structure and clarity over time
- Ability to anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and proactively move initiatives forward
Skills & Knowledge
- Understanding of growth strategies, including referral development, community partnerships, and digital marketing support
- Familiarity with vendor management across IT, facilities, and service providers
- General knowledge of technology systems, integrations, and troubleshooting processes
- Understanding of facility operations, including maintenance coordination and vendor oversight
- Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly and support others in doing the same
- Interest in pediatric healthcare, therapy services, or mission-driven work is preferred
Physical Demands
- Ability to move throughout clinic environments regularly, including walking, standing, and navigating between rooms and spaces
- Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds (e.g., equipment, supplies)
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time
- Occasional bending, reaching, or light physical activity related to facility needs
