Job description

As a Sr. Media Analyst on the Enterprise Media team, you will leverage your position as a subject matter expert in digital campaign management to meet the needs of Core Marketing and ensure digital advertising campaigns are set up and optimized successfully to deliver best-in-class performance and activation efficiencies.

In this role, you will work closely with in-house Paid channel teams, ensuring flawless media planning, ad set-up, optimization and performance & insights. You will coordinate and support campaigns and channels across external platforms/ad servers with various buying strategies. You will be expected to identify, recommend and execute scalable operational tactics to support the brand, engagement and performance results.

This role will be accountable to participating and enforcing key business enhancements in relation to tagging, trafficking, creative rotation, dynamic capabilities, third-party verification and all other campaigns management related functions. This vital role will continuously evolve our campaign performance and ensure stringent compliance. You will bring a data-driven approach and an eye toward technological advancements that will make Target first-to-market in the digital media space. It's critical that this role focus on efficiencies through automation, ensuring business and brand goals are consistently achieved. You will have worked in various digital media and social platforms (IG, TikTok, YouTube, DCM, DMPs, Ad Servers) and you are expected to keep pace with the Digital and Social Advertising industries and help translate relevant industry developments into recommendation and new ideas for Target that lead to more simplicity and efficiencies in nurturing Target's external advertising presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Business, Analytics, Data, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, media planning, campaign management, trading, optimization, or media analytics.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing large-scale paid media campaigns across programmatic, search, social, retail media, display, video, CTV, and/or other digital channels.
  • Deep understanding of full-funnel performance marketing and how media impacts awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Amazon Ads, DV360, The Trade Desk, DSPs, ad servers, retail media platforms, and measurement systems.
  • Proficiency with campaign management platforms, analytics platforms, BI/reporting tools, and marketing technology stacks such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, DMPs, CDPs, MMPs, or similar tools.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting large datasets, identifying trends, diagnosing performance issues, and translating data into actionable recommendations.
  • Understanding of brand safety, viewability, fraud prevention, inventory quality, tracking, tagging, attribution, and measurement best practices.
  • Ability to evaluate creative and content assets for channel fit, messaging alignment, compliance, and performance effectiveness.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder management, problem-solving ability, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
