Job description
- Process digital satellite/image data to generate highly accurate geospatial image products that meet customer requirements
- Understand and utilize established image production processes.
- Exercise good judgement regarding data quality and project criteria.
- Deliver a high volume of products to meet customer requirements on a monthly basis.
- Follow written and verbal directions and work in a close team environment.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Requirements
Years' Experience: 1+ years Professional Experience Education: Bachelor's Degree Required Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance. Key Skills:
- Experience manipulating digital images using Photoshop or other image enhancement software.
- Practical knowledge of online map applications like Google Maps, etc.
- Working knowledge of geospatial industry-standard geospatial software tools such as ArcGIS and QGIS preferred.
- Ability to understand latitude / longitude measurements in imagery.
- Military mapping experience preferred but not necessary., * Must either currently possess or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years GIS experience required.
- Experience manipulating digital images.
- Must have basic understanding of DMS and decimal coordinate systems.
- Experience with remotely sensed data and image processing.
- Computer competency in Windows environment. Familiarity with Linux or UNIX operating systems also helpful.
