SAP SD Functional Expertise (Order-to-Cash)

• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field\n
• 7-10+ years of SAP SD functional experience, including S/4HANA environments\n
• Demonstrated experience integrating SAP SD with Transportation Management (TM)\n
• Strong understanding of order-to-cash processes and logistics execution\n
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments\n
• Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate into SAP solutions\n
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills\n, * Familiarity with freight settlement, shipment planning, and transportation execution processes\n
• Experience integration with SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, EWM, and TM\n
• Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., SAFe)\n

VETS, Inc., is looking to add a an experienced SAP SD Functional Expertise (Order-to-Cash) to our growing team. This is a remote opportunity based out of the Saint Louis area and work in hand. Due to contractual requirements, this position requires a security clearance or US Citizenship/ability to obtain a clearance.\n \n \nResponsibilities:\n Serve as the functional authority for SAP S/4HANA Sales & Distribution (SD), including: Order Management (sales orders, scheduling, ATP), Pricing, billing, and invoicing processes, Delivery processing and shipping integration\n \n \n

• Design and configure SD solutions that support complex transportation and logistics scenarios.\n
• Ensure accurate and efficient order-to-cash execution, including billing and revenue-related processes.\n

\n Transportation Management (TM) Integration\n \n \n

• Lead and support integration between SAP SD and Transportation Management (TM), ensuring: Seamless flow from order creation to transportation planning and execution, Alignment of delivery, shipment, and freight processes\n
• Collaborate with TM functional teams to design end-to-end logistics solutions that optimize transportation planning and execution.\n
• Support freight-related processes, including freight cost capture, settlement integration, and visibility.\n

\n Agile Delivery & Product Support\n \n \n

• Operate within an Agile team, actively participating in: Sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand-ups, and retrospectives\n
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs.\n
• Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to prioritize SD and logistics capabilities.\n
• Delivering iterative enhancements aligned with program objectives and mission needs.\n

\n Requirements Analysis & Solution Design\n \n \n

• Analyze business requirements and perform fit-gap analysis against SAP S/4HANA SD and TM capabilities.\n
• Develop functional specifications, configuration designs, and solution documentation.\n
• Recommend scalable solutions that balance standard SAP functionality with program-specific requirements.\n

\n Testing, Validation & Deployment\n \n \n

• Support and execute functional and integration testing (SIT/UAT) for SD and TM processes.\n
• Validate end-to-end scenarios across order management, delivery, transportation, and billing.\n
• Assist in deployment, cutover planning, and post-go-live support.\n

\n Cross-Functional Integration\n \n \n

• Collaborate with other functional areas including: Finance (FI/CO/FM) for billing and financial integration, Materials Management (MM) for procurement and inventory alignment, EAM/Asset and logistics teams for operational coordination\n
• Ensure data and process consistency across modules supporting end-to-end business flows.\n

\n Data Integrity, Reporting & Issue Resolution\n \n \n

• Support data accuracy across customer master, pricing conditions, and transactional data.\n
• Assist in development and validation of operational and financial reporting outputs.\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex SD and integration issues, providing root cause analysis and solutions.\n

\n Continuous Improvement & Optimization\n \n \n

• Identify opportunities to streamline order-to-cash and logistics processes.\n
• Recommend and implement enhancements to improve system performance, usability, and operational efficiency.\n
