Requirements

  • Significant Embedded Linux experience in production
  • Excellent C/C++ coding skills
  • Strong Linux Kernel fundamentals
  • Experience with Linux graphics technologies (Wayland, Mesa3D, DRM)
  • Contributions to the Linux Kernel or otheropen source projects, preferred
  • Experience with Graphics APIs (Vulkan, OpenGL)
  • Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability

Tesla's Software Platform team builds the foundational operating system that powers the in-vehicle experience on top of open-source base components like the Linux kernel andCoreboot. Weare responsible forthe core components-the kernel,bootchain, drivers, and low-level services-that enable Tesla's entire software ecosystem. What You'll Do

  • Extract every bit of performance out of the hardware using first principles
  • Leverage latest upstream technologies to unlock new visual experiences
  • Develop and integrate tooling toidentify optimization opportunities across the stack
  • Identifyand execute on stability improvements as we scale the fleet
  • Bring-upnext generation hardware

Expected Compensation $140,000 - $300,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
