Job description
We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator / IT Department Lead to support and lead day to day technology operations for our clients.
This role is ideal for someone with strong hands on IT experience who can manage systems, support users, coordinate technical work, and help lead a small IT support function in a professional healthcare and business environment.
The right candidate will be comfortable working directly with end users, resolving technical issues, maintaining infrastructure, coordinating with vendors, and helping ensure that IT services are delivered reliably, securely, and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary technical resource and escalation point for client IT issues.
- Provide hands on support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, phones, and common business applications.
- Administer and support Microsoft 365, user accounts, email, permissions, security settings, and related cloud services.
- Support Windows servers, Active Directory, group policies, file shares, backups, and network resources.
- Assist with network troubleshooting, including switches, firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, and internet connectivity.
- Lead or coordinate daily IT support activity, including ticket prioritization, follow up, and issue resolution.
- Work directly with users, department managers, vendors, and InTech team members to resolve issues efficiently.
- Document systems, support interactions, procedures, credentials, and technical changes accurately.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to systems, processes, tools, and procedures.
- Assist with hardware and software deployments, workstation replacements, onboarding, offboarding, and site projects.
- Help maintain security best practices, including patching, endpoint protection, MFA, access control, and policy compliance.
- Travel to satellite offices as needed to provide on site support and assist with projects.
- Ensure users receive professional, timely, and customer focused IT support.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in Windows?, * Proven work experience as a Systems Administrator, IT Lead, Senior IT Support Specialist, or similar technical role.
- Strong experience supporting Microsoft Windows environments, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and business networks.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printing, email, and application issues.
- Experience with ticketing systems, remote support tools, documentation, and structured support processes.
- Strong client facing, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple issues, and follow through until resolution.
- Comfortable working on site with users in a professional office or healthcare environment.
- Strong sense of ownership, reliability, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Ability to lead by example and help guide technical support activity for a department or client environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to satellite offices as required.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working for an MSP or supporting multiple business locations.
- Healthcare IT experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Server enviroments, wireless networks, VPNs, VoIP, endpoint security, and backup systems.
- Experience with HIPAA sensitive environments or regulated business environments.
- Experience coordinating vendors, projects, upgrades, and technology changes.
