Job description
Your daily duties will consist of:
- Greeting each customer with professionalism in person, by phone, and/or by email.
- Answer incoming calls, direct calls, and manage customer inquiries.
- Operate a computer, scanner, and printer.
- Create estimates, purchase orders, work orders, invoices, and packing slips through QuickBooks.
- Send and receive emails through Outlook.
- Process shipments utilizing USPS, UPS WorldShip & FedEx.
- Process payments (cash, checks, debit cards, and credit cards) utilizing Clover Flex and QuickBooks.
- Manage the front desk (and will-call) to ensure it is running smoothly at all times.
- Communicate clearly with staff and vendors to ensure our customers receive excellent service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
We are seeking an organized professional with strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to multi-task, work well under pressure (in a sometimes fast-paced environment), work independently and as part of a team.
This is a full-time position, with a typical work schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday., * Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language.
- Basic math skills, including: fundamental arithmetic-addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division - along with fractions, decimals, percentages, and basic measurements.
- Know how to operate a computer (typing), scanner, printer, calculator, and tape measurer.
- Experience with QuickBooks desktop, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word & Excel.
- 1-2 years of customer service, preparing estimates, filing, and order entry.
- 1-2 years of basic accounting skills, accounts receivable (receiving payments), accounts payable (invoice entry).
- 1-2 years of purchasing, creating purchase orders, and communicating with vendors.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a sometimes fast-paced environment, with constant interruptions.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Ability to reprioritize your work duties as needed throughout the day, while meeting crucial deadlines.
- Ability to lift up-to 25 lbs. without assistance.

We provide a casual blue-collar work environment, casual work attire (closed-toed shoes). Some paid holidays. Sick pay in accordance with the California Labor Laws. Vacation pay (40 hours per calendar year) upon completing your 1-year work anniversary. Health insurance is available after completing your 90-day probationary period.
