Data Visualization Analsyt

We're looking for a Sr. Data Visualization Analyst who turns complex data into simple, beautiful visuals that tell a clear story simply by glancing at the report. If you believe a great chart should communicate its message in seconds - not minutes - and you have strong opinions about chart selection, color, and white space, this role is for you. You'll partner closely with business teams to design dashboards, charts, and reports that don't just display data, but actually drive decisions. Every visual you build should earn its place on the page. What You'll Do

• Partner with stakeholders to understand the business question behind every request and design the simplest, clearest visual to answer it
• Build customer-ready dashboards and reports in Tableau and Power BI, applying best practices in chart selection, color, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Translate complex datasets into intuitive graphs and charts that favor clarity over complexity
• Use color intentionally - to highlight, group, and de-emphasize - so every visual element supports the message
• Extract and shape data with SQL to prepare it for visualization
• Interpret findings and design the visual narrative that communicates the key insight to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback to ensure dashboards are usable, elegant, and immediately understandable
• Establish visualization standards, style guides, and reusable design patterns across teams

• 7+ years in a data analysis or business intelligence environment, with a strong portfolio of visualization work
• 7+ years designing dashboards and visuals for customer-facing or executive audiences
• Hands-on experience in both Tableau and Power BI, with deep expertise in at least one
• Mastery of data visualization design principles - chart selection, color theory, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy
• Proven ability to take a complex dataset and produce a simple, clear visual that communicates the key insight at a glance
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and shaping
• Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain your visual design choices and the rationale behind them
• A portfolio of dashboards, reports, or visualizations that demonstrate clear, simple, and well-designed data storytelling, Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Design, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
