Job description
We are seeking a hands-on Network & Systems Administrator with MSP or IT services experience who thrives in both technical troubleshooting and real-world, on-site environments.
This role is primarily focused on supporting and maintaining client networks, systems, and infrastructure, while also assisting with deployment of network-connected technologies such as cameras, access control systems, and structured cabling., * Monitor, maintain, and support client networks, systems, and IT infrastructure in an MSP environment
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and LAN/WAN networks
- Administer network services including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs
- Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and connectivity issues (remote and on-site)
- Perform routine maintenance, updates, and system optimization
- Manage multiple client environments and prioritize tasks effectively
Client Support & Field Services
- Provide on-site technical support and project work as needed
- Communicate clearly with clients to resolve issues and explain solutions
- Take ownership of assigned work from start to completion
Network-Connected Systems (Secondary Responsibilities)
- Install and service CCTV / IP camera systems (video surveillance)
- Install and configure access control systems (door access, badge entry)
- Perform structured cabling (CAT6/6a and fiber), including termination and testing
- Ensure proper integration of all systems into client networks (including PoE devices)
Documentation & Standards
- Maintain accurate service tickets, project documentation, and network records
- Ensure all work meets industry standards for safety, quality, and performance
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver's License license?, Do you have experience in System administration?, This is not a basic help desk role-this position requires strong problem-solving skills, networking knowledge, and the ability to work independently across multiple client environments., * Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites
- Strong troubleshooting skills across networks, systems, and hardware
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable working in both remote support and on-site environments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physical installation work
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document work clearly, * 2+ years of experience in IT support, MSP, networking, or systems administration (or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs)
- Experience configuring or troubleshooting routers, switches, and network devices
- Ability to diagnose root causes and solve complex technical issues
- Experience supporting multiple clients or environments preferred, * Previous MSP experience
- CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar certifications
- Experience with Aruba, Cisco, Ruckus, or similar networking equipment
- Familiarity with CCTV, access control, VoIP, or low-voltage systems, * Do you have experience working in an MSP environment?
- Are you comfortable with configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and networks?
- Describe a technical issue you diagnosed and resolved.
- Are you comfortable performing both IT support and installation work (cameras, access control, cabling)?
