Job description
Software Engineer to support the GMD Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the SPA team. This role is responsible for developing SW products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)., * Design, develop, document, debug and test application software and systems
- Collaborate with other software and systems engineers to determine user needs
- Support advanced portions of the lifecycle of software development including requirements definition, integration, and deployment
- Prioritize and adjust tasks to accomplish project results with limited oversight and direction
- Apply "systems thinking" to ensure developed products are scalable, maintainable, and meet end-user needs
- Communicate openly and effectively with teammates and customer representatives
- Thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborations across disciplines
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution and 2+ years of relevant experience (O r Master's degree and 0+ years of experience)
- Experience programming with C++ Experience with simulation and simulation frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
- Experience with Unit Test and System Test Development
- Experience with the System Engineering Lifecycle
- Candidate must demonstrate ability to think critically and capture concepts in work products, presentations, and discussions
